OverTime in Hatten Square

A few weeks back, my boss treated us a dinner at OverTime , as work as been stresses us out, so we looking for a place that we can relax, have some beer and at the same time our dinner. OverTime is a newly open bar / bistro / lounge ( I don't know what to call it ) at Hatten Square.

 I order a pork chop.... with mushroom sauce. They actually have 2 types of sauce mushroom and black pepper ... I am not black pepper person so I ordered mushroom sauce. Eventually the whole plate is cold even the french fries. The mushroom sauce is from the Campbell soup. The attention and the sincerity they put on this food is not there.

This is what we have been waiting for... the pig trotters ... crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. He have finished half by the time I remember to take the photo. Everybody actually have to wait for few seconds in order let me snap the shots. If you are a carnivore, do try out this.

They do have a live band at this place... but only starts at 10.00pm..

P/S : I have been wanting to put up this post for few weeks already .... but just cannot bring myself to do it .... as the lazy god has been following me around for the pass few weeks ... Hahaha!

Movie Review : One Day

I watch this movie over the weekend. In fact, I finally had a chance to sit down and watch some movie, apparently due to in balanced hormon, I am so depressed and did not have the mood to do anything.

This is a story about a journey of a beautiful friendship that turns to a relationship. My sister had actually read the book, she thinks that the book is nicer than the movie. I am not a person, and I prefer to watch movie instead of reading.

If you are like me, a love story fanatics , you should get this movie. It's better than watching some meaningless movie.

Restaurant Hup Huat in Taman Semabok Perdana

This restaurant is in Taman Semabok Perdana. It's crowded on a Sunday afternoon. This is the my first time I went into this restaurant and saw everybody is having the century egg porridge.
An air-conditioned restaurant is always an added advantage on a hot sunday afternoon. If you are living at that area and all you want is some simple delicious food, so try out this restaurant. Clean place with good service is always added advantages.

We did also order a plate of fried rice, the fried rice is identical to the one that we normally have at home. I ask for tomato ketchup, they specially open a brand new maggie tomato ketchup for me. 

When Is The Last Time You Wash your Brushes ?

Clean brushes is the key to acne free skin.
I know sometimes you just too tired and lazy to do anything, but the effort of washing your makeup brushes it's worth it especially for those who have sensitive skin.

Tang Shifu Restaurant

The master of all soup, it's a restaurant that has overly good services, the waiter actually was standing there waiting for our orders and at the same time listening to our conversations.
My point is, you cannot call yourself a master when you only served herbal soup. I know herbal soup its good for your health, but not everybody will like it. If you want more business, then you must have a variety of soup to capture more market share. Our country is fill with people from different races. Eventually your shop is only for Chinese, out of all the chinese people how many of them will like herbal soup ?
Your menu come with set meal, but I notice that there is no vegetables in your set meal, make your meal not balances.
I am not here to condemn to restaurant, but it's merely my point of view if you want more business. Just analyze, try to capture bigger market share, if a Malay can go in to a steamboat restaurant, then there are still non Chinese out there who loves soup. Then your business will grow.  I know that the ingredients are fresh and you use the best herbs for your soup, this was clearly show on the dishes that are served. 

Poppy Thai Restaurant in Melaka

To my knowledge, there is only 3 Thai restaurant in Melaka i.e King's Hotel, Lerk Thai in Aeon Jusco and Poppy Thai. I have tried all these 3 Thai restaurant. I have review King's Hotel Thai restaurant before in my facebook page. Today I'm going to talk about Poppy Thai Restaurant recently opened in Taman Melaka Raya, Melaka.
This Thai Restaurant is cheapest among all the Thai restaurant that I mentioned above. This restaurant is open by Thai people. They talked in Thai language among themselves and when they take order, they write in Thai language. How I know, I happen to notice it. They have a lot of variety in terms of dishes, rice and noodles. Their Tom Yam Kong is sour and spicy, their fish is fresh ( when a fish is fresh or not you will know). When I first walk in to the restaurant, it's quite scary as not much people is inside, and you will think that maybe the food is not nice but it's vice verse. Don't judge it's book by it's cover. Most important thing is the price they charged is reasonable, good service and their place is clean. It's worth a try.
Ok, what are the cons ? Don't order fry rice, their fried rice does not have enough of "wok heat" translate in cantonese that you will know what I talk about. My colleague who went there for lunch and order a pineapple fried rice have the same opinion. For dessert, I tried their Red Ruby and Mango Sticky Rice. Their Red Ruby is not very Q Q. I think that King's Hotel dessert's it's the best among all the Thai Restaurant.

Steam Jinak Fish with Chili Padi and Lime Juice. They actually have a small candle burning below. Their gravy is full the sourness of lime, the spicyness of chili and the sweetness of the fish

Fried Oyster With Egg and Bean Sprout - Thai Style

Tom Yam Kong. This soup has other sea food but only the fishball is floating on top.

This is Thai Red Chicken Curry. This is not as scary as Thai Green Curry. This curry is full of Thai spices, where the gravy is not as thick as Malaysia curry. I specially like the eggplant in the curry.

Movie Review : The Japanese Wife

I bought this DVD long time ago.
This is a love story between an Indian man and a Japanese woman. Two person with different background and cultural in love with other without meeting that person.
When they are married, there is no ceremony, only a letter between each other agreeing to married. Sometimes marriage is not about a piece of paper or how grand is your marriage ceremony, but it's the trust between 2 human being. Both of them is loyal to each other even though they are not legally married.
